Banks are reducing their inventory of lots by selling to local builders. Our builders have purchased individual lots, and we’ve had great success in selling the end product while it was under construction. There is “no idle carrying time” in this market, and that’s a very important fact for buyers to understand.
Waiting until the home is finished to make a written offer is not an option for buyers today. New construction has a pending sale at some point after the frame is finished and before the drywall is installed. Most builders will always have one home being built on speculation (a spec home) and they will use that as their model home, even if it’s under contract, until the final stage of construction.
This is the ideal time to consider buying a new home. Resale homes are selling well. There is a shortage of resale homes on the market, at this time. Price your existing home properly, and it will sell quickly. This makes buying a new home a reality for many who were previously concerned about selling what they lived in. The market has changed for the better and this is the perfect time to consider a move to a new home.
