What a pleasant change!! Builders are confident enough to stand firm on their prices and demand terms and conditions that are in their favor. It’s almost like the “good old days” when builders called the shots. We have another offer in hand. This home is not up, and the foundation hole is not in yet!! The builder relayed what he wanted and the buyers said “yes.”
We’re selling dirt, and the buyers are very accommodating. Transactions like this one will always put a smile on the builder’s face, and another commission in our bank account. It will be a four month period to build this home and get an occupancy certificate to close.
The builder will not start construction until the buyers have a mortgage commitment. The buyers will make two moves. The builder will use the deposit to build after their mortgage contingency has been satisfied.
I wish we had a dozen more of these individual lots on this scenic country road. Every buyer does not want a subdivision. There is a demand for lots on a country road with town sewer. I suppose we should count our blessings since not too long ago we had some significant problems to worry about with our new construction. We couldn’t give it away, and now they’re begging for it and buying it before there’s a hole in the ground
